The weather is getting colder and the days are getting shorter. This can only mean one thing…it’s nearly Christmas!
During the lead up to Christmas, the sales of poinsettia plants are set to soar as people start to decorate their homes with festive foliage. The brightly coloured plant has been growing in popularity in recent years. Despite a reputation of being hard to maintain, it is estimated that six will be sold every minute across the UK this winter.
The plants, which originate from Mexico, are one of the only plants to be sold in complete perfection. Like many of us, the poinsettia dislikes the cold, which makes them the perfect plant for our cosy homes this winter.
