Last week, you may have seen Part 1 of our short blog series on the hidden meanings behind the colours of flowers. In Part 2, we take a look at the meanings behind the beautiful colours of green, blue and pink.
Green Flowers:
There are not as many Green Flowers, although the ever popular orchids have several green varieties. There are also green chrysanthemum, carnations, hellebore (Christmas rose) and gladiolus.
Green flowers are associated with growth, nature, health, optimism, youth, fortune and renewal of life.
The enthusiasm of the colour green makes sense when you look around you and see the grass, trees and how they sustain the lives of all animals and humans most importantly in cleaning the oxygen for us, thereby giving us green symbolism. Green is also calming and has the clean, healthy feeling of nature.
Blue Flowers:
Blue flowers represent calm, inspiration, serenity and soothing as well as adding tranquillity and peace to your surroundings.
They say the effect of blue is so strong that when rooms are painted blue it induces calmness and peacefulness.
Pink Flowers:
Pink flowers symbolise grace, elegance, childlike innocence, delicacy and gentleness.
For instance, when you think of a little girl you think of pink and sweetness and purity (sugar and spice and all things nice).
So, if you have a much-loved other half, a dear friend, mother or grandmother, then a beautiful bouquet of pink and white flowers is perfect. Alongside white flowers, they are the purest and sweetest flowers to give.
