7th January 2025
What we Love this Month

Let’s be honest, January is very few people’s favourite month, but here at Green Team Interiors we like to keep upbeat, and here are just a few of the things that will be bringing us some new year cheer this January.

We will begin with a little bit of self-indulgence. Our teams have been hard at work dismantling and removing more decorations than ever before, thanks to a bumper year for Christmas orders. In fact, for the third year in a row we have broken our own record for the amount of trees, baubles, candy canes, and displays delivered, installed, enjoyed and removed from client workplaces across the south east… and beyond!
But it’s the comments from clients that have really put a new year spring in our collective steps this January, so thank you to everyone that has been in touch to tell us how much they loved our decorating services.

Puddles. Who doesn’t love a puddle? (unless you step in one accidentally, or get splashed by someone else). Puddles aren’t just for Peppa Pig and small children to enjoy, next time you are out and about in the countryside, take a look at a puddle, especially if it’s frozen over. The patterns and shapes can be mesmerising, and if there’s nothing to see, and nobody is looking, give it a good splash.

The first glimpse of spring is often taken to be the snowdrop, but even before then you could be lucky enough to see the vivid yellow of a winter aconite. These little beauties can be found in woodland, and will pop up anytime this month, just as soon as temperatures begin to rise.

The Danes and Norwegians call it ‘hygge’, a feeling of contentment and cosiness, enjoying life’s simple pleasures, alone or with company, in fact it has become a bit of an industry with lots of books on the subject.

For us, nothing beats a bowl of soup, a sandwich, an episode or two of Columbo or Miss Marple and a slice of cake for a perfect Sunday afternoon in January.

From a business perspective, January is a great month to make plans for the year ahead, and what better place to start than taking a look at all the awards that would be worth entering. Awards are a great way of raising company profile, and over the year’s we have been fortunate enough to pick up quite a few for our services. Here is a link to a quick blog that we wrote about why we love awards, and the boost that they give to everyone at GTI HQ.

And finally, we know that January can be a bit of a slog for many people, so whatever you do, please make time to show yourself a little love.
