You know it’s an important environmental issue when the United Nations get involved.
This year, as always we will be celebrating bees, and other pollinators, by supporting World Bee Day on May 20th, and we are pleased to publish this, and other blogs with some handy tips on how we can all do more to help our bee populations.
There are events taking place up and down the country, including a ‘Bee Market’ (bee people love a pun) in Uckfield, the British Beekeepers Association website has details of this, and lots of other fun activities for everyone to join in, and have a great time.
But, as our tortuous blog title suggests, bees are for life, not just for May 20th, and we are delighted to say that our great friends at Tunsgate Quarter on Guildford High Street are hosting events and demonstrations in the centre between May 25th, and June 1st. The week is being supported by Guildford in Bloom, the wonderful people behind the annual flower awards for individuals and businesses in and around the town.
It’s sure to be a huge hit with folk of all ages, and of course you can do some shopping in Guildford’s premier retail centre at the same time!
Bees, butterflies, and bats need our help more than ever, and by following a few simple steps, we can all make a positive difference.
