For this year’s team day out, we had a lovely day at Mottisfont Abbey, a historical priory and country estate near to Romsey.
Mottisfont is home to the National Collection of old-fashioned roses – there are over 500 varieties of this special flower nestled in the walled gardens. These stunning flowers grow above big herbaceous borders, which provide changing displays from June – September. Unfortunately they had suffered a bit in the heavy rain we have recently had but still beautiful – and the fragrance was stunning.
It was a lovely day out and very interesting and the weather was perfect. Sunny, not too hot and the rain stayed away, always a bonus.
