For the fourth year running, eFIG, the trade association for the Interior Landscaping industry, held nominations for the Office Plant of the Year. There were nine nominations, a mixture of popular plants and new varieties.
The criteria for voting included the following:

is the plant easy to care for

it’s ability to bring a sense of calm to the workplace

whether you would like to have this plant on or by your desk
After the voting closed, the independent judges chose three front runners, the Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum), the Jade plant (Crassula) and Guzmania Torch. A unanimous decision was reached and the Peace Lily was awarded top place with the Jade Plant coming in second and the Guzmania third.
